Impress customers with your Virtual PA

We all want to impress our customers. We do this all the time as we interact with them, both directly ourselves and indirectly by the way we operate to get things done behind the scenes and through others. We are all judged on our professionalism and by the value of what we deliver: its quality, timeliness and cost.

Working through others effectively is the key to success, and demonstrating this can be impressive in itself. Here are 5 ways you can impress your customers by working with and through a Virtual PA:
  1. Email Signatures: advertising your PA in your email signature and referring people to your PA to sort things out, can be really impressive. Having your own PA says you are organised, busy and successful.
  2. Booking Meetings: have your PA organise your meetings: email or ring around, check diaries, fix the date/time, select a venue, issue directions, organise refreshments, etc is always going to be impressive for the people involved... they are going to wish they were successful or important enough to have one!
  3. Being Organised: you may be the most disorganised person around, or simply not have the time or inclination to get organised. Having your PA do this for you, helps you to be more productive, appear more "together" in front to of customers, and adds to your impressive array of professional traits.
  4. Screening Calls: when you call someone very senior you often get a PA screening their direct calls. Whilst this may be irritating if you are making a sales call, its impressive if you are a genuine caller.
  5. Producing Documents: professionally produced documents, whether letters, reports, proposals or presentations, will always impress. Moreover, this is essential in selling situations, so leave this to a professional PA rather than do it yourself.
Of course, there are many more ways you can impress customers through your PA. Virtual PAs offer a wide range of personal assistant services, and the above should start you thinking about what might work for you.

Getting the full benefit of a PA depends on having a dedicated, professional and experienced PA in the traditional sense, not merely access to a pool of young girls. Hiring a full time PA may be an option, but if not then a Virtual PA can work just as well - and if she has access to the wider set of skills or her team it can work better - but, she has to be visibly "your dedicated PA".
