Not much to report from Chile

It's Week 4 of my trip and I'm writing from Chile. For all its promise of being modern and Westernised, Chile has been no different to Peru when it comes to the internet and communications: good-to-variable.

All hotels have Wi-Fi, but not all have guest PCs. In San Pedro de Atacama (in the middle on nowhere in the Atacama Desert) you'd expect very little, but the connection speed is fine. No compaints here. And, there are more Internet cafes than you can shake a stick at, mainly because there are more hippies here than you can shake a stick at, all on Facebook.

It's difficult to think of a good tip for Chile, but the is one important thing anyone travelling and using the internet in South America needs to know ... that is, how to get the @ symbol. Forget looking for the usual "@ Key" or using logic to work it out, just hold down the ATL key, hit 6, then 4, then release the ALT key. Come on, it was obvious!

Thankfully, all is calm and under control back in the office so I can relax. I'm off to look around town and then its a trip the Valley de la Luna. You just can't beat this working remotely lark!.
