World Time Buddy... Great news for PAs?

One of the problems PAs face is setting up meetings across time zones, and figuring out a suitable time to hold meetings with people in different time zones can prove a total nightmare!

There are several web apps available such as Timeanddate.com’s World Clock Meeting Planner app, but the user interface and adjusting meeting parameters like dates and time zones can be very clunky.  This is where the free World Time Buddy app wins through.

When you visit the website, you are presented with a grid showing the time in your current location, Sydney and Tokyo. Adding other locations is just a matter of typing city, country or time zone names into a text box, and you can adjust the date shown by using the calendar. When using any time zone conversion tool, it’s important to always input the correct date to account for unexpected daylight saving time changes - don't get caught out!

To setup a meeting, you simply select a meeting time by moving the black rectangle and click a button to get a unique URL to share with meeting participants that lists the meeting time in all the selected locations. I'm told that it’s a "nicely designed app that’s a joy to use", but that was by a tech guy, not a PA. Perhaps our girls will have a different view - I'll let you know once someone's had a go.
